Biography
Rocky
Lea Ann
Lori
Lea Ann and Lori began singing as a duet in 1980 and spent the next decade traveling evangelistically in their home state, Kentucky and the neighboring states of Indiana and Ohio. In 1992, Lori began writing songs under the direction of the Holy Spirit and the next year the Kaufman Sisters recorded their first album entitled "I Know He Will". In 1994, the two sisters founded Faith Tabernacle, a Non denominational ministry based in their native city, Louisville. Lori married Rocky Bewley in 1995. Rocky had traveled evangelistically in the Church of God and was well known for his musical and oratory abilities. The three began singing together in 2001 and the group became known as The Kaufman's. The trio recorded "I See Him as The Lamb" in the fall of 2001, a beautiful collection of ten songs penned by lead singer, Lori. Requests for appearances began pouring in as radio stations began playing two nationally released singles, " He Speaks Rivers to My Soul" and "There's No Pit so Deep". The group was launched onto the national scene when the music videos of this album were regularly played on Gospel Television Network. The Kaufman's recorded their next album, "Dying Grace" in 2004, ten original songs written by Lori which includes many different styles of music such as Bluegrass, Country, and Southern Gospel. Lori plays mandolin and sings lead vocals. Lea Ann sings alto and Rocky plays keyboard and sings tenor. The Kaufman's have spent the last twenty five years proclaiming the gospel in word and song in places all over North America and are looking forward with anticipation to the places God will lead them this next year.
