In 1992, Lori began writing songs and the following year the Kaufman Sisters recorded their first album entitled, "I Know He Will". In 1994, the two sisters founded Faith Tabernacle, a nondenominational ministry located in their home town of Louisville.
Lori fell in love and married Rocky Bewley in 1995. Rocky was a licensed minister and phenomenal pianist. Rocky upon joining the group stated he could not be a sister so the newly formed Trio became the Kaufmans. That same year the Kaufman's went on to record, "I See Him As The Lamb", a beautiful collection of ten songs penned by Lori. The group was launched onto the national scene when music videos of this album were played on GMT. The group recorded their next Album "Dying Grace", in 1994, ten original songs written by Lori.
